Demi's "skyscraper" |
Demi Lovato is ready to take the world by storm again . The 18-year-old former Disney starlet released her single “Skyscraper” late July 11 and now, only 2 days later, it’s number one on the iTunes charts. Its relay a very good news for Demi.
“Skyscraper” is a quality song - Particularly because it speaks so closely to Demi’s situation throughout the last year. After having a physical and emotional breakdown in the fall, Demi spent time in a treatment facility in Chicago, ended her TV show and has been on a new, healthier path ever since. “Skyscraper” is an anthem describing her plight, but building her back up…as tall as a "skyscraper".
Demi Lovato has received an outpouring of love and respect from her fellow celebrity friends since the debut of her new single “Skyscraper” yesterday! Selena Gomez, Pete Wentz, Kim Kardashian, Kate Perry and other stars have turned to twitter to congratulate Demi on the power of her new hit, her amazing voice and her recovery!Kim Kardashian wrote, “I am so excited to download Demi Lovato new song “Skyscraper.” It’s out tonight! Everyone much download it. Other supporters have included Ryan Seacrest, Eva Longoria, Brittany Snow and Jordin Sparks, to name a few.
It’s nearly impossible to compare Demi’s new single to her former BFF Selena Gomez hit song “Who Says” but it will be interesting to see which one outperforms the other. “Skyscraper” is deeper, darker and slower, while “Who Says” has a faster, ‘poppier’ beat. The one thing these songs have in common is their positive message, which is refreshing to hear on today’s radio.
